A visual refuge in softness and abstraction
View Exhibition Artwork
In soothe, an exhibition curated for Sugarlift by Kristin Texeira, artists confront and diffuse tension and chaos through shape, palette and line. Each artwork is a true refuge: a respite, a place to rest our eyes and take peace, even as we recharge in order to continue fighting the fight for social and racial justice in our country.
soothe opened Thursday, July 9th with a live art meditation led by instructor Jessica Angima.
Participating artists include: Alan Prazniak, Alicia McCarthy, Blaise Rosenthal, Brett Flanigan, Brianne Garcia Ziff, Caroline Denervaud, Christopher Dunlap, Cortney Cassidy, Ellen Rutt, Galina Munroe, Irvin Pascal, Jonathan Ryan, Jonathan Ryan Storm, Mary Herbert, Matthew King, Minku Kim, Miranda Skoczek, Natalia Ortega Gamez, Nevia Pavletic, Nick Irzyk, Peter Barrickman, Rachelle Bussieres, Ryan Whelan, Scott Albrecht.
soothe is the second of Sugarlift’s #allforartists campaigns in 2020. 100% of each sale will go to artists to support them during these challenging pandemic times.
