If you’ve recently started the process of selling your home or apartment, staging may have crossed your mind. The concept of staging a home tends to elicit a range of responses. If it’s your home, you might be thinking, “Why? What’s wrong with my stuff?” If you’re a real estate agent, you might be thinking, “Please, make my job easier.” And if you’re a staging company, well, this comes to mind.
Here at Sugarlift, we firmly believe that good art is part of a good life. And it is no different if you’re staging a home or apartment. Potential buyers want to envision life in their new digs. Good art can only enhance things.
We won’t tell you whether or not staging is a good idea (check out this recent NYT article for more on that), but if you commit to staging, we’re here to say: Don’t forget about the art. And don’t let it become an afterthought. Often, art is the hardest piece of the puzzle, but we’ve found that when it comes to staging (or decorating!), it can be the most rewarding piece.
Above and below you’ll find photos from an apartment we recently helped stage with art, partnering with a professional staging company. The partnership worked out really well and the project has been one of our favorites.
